Meet Diana

Diana Greene is a photographer, writer, filmmaker, and teacher based in North Carolina. Her abiding interest is telling stories from her own life and the lives of others. Writing. Photography. Radio. Film. She embraces them all, believing that form arises into a shape based on people, place, purpose and materials at hand. For more than 20 years, Diana has taught visual literacy, writing, and filmmaking in public schools and universities. She has an MFA in Fiction from Arizona State University and earned a certificate from Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies. Selected works include the films, The Final Rummage and Bus Stop Jobs, the photo series Finding Home, Proof + Disappearance, and The Search for Wonder, and 12 years as an NPR essayist for WFDD.

Diana’s favorite part of life is her family, her two children, son-in-law, and grandsons. She’s a longtime devotee of yoga, friendship, and good quality butter. Diana enjoys what she calls the open nest, a freer time spent mainly with her husband and their easy-going girl dog named Hank. Spotify claims Diana listened to 38,900 hours of music in 2022.
