My Inside/Outside Self 

The process of portrait-making is my favorite of many favorite elements that comprise my life. I love people, how they are, how they look, the stories they tell, and I love teaching students. So here I watched, with my proud peacock feathers puffed up, as two fourth graders I’d taught for three weeks photographed an image they’d conceived of using gesture, point of view, and creative collaboration.
