Through Thick and Thin

Making art is a messy proposition at times, but the results make the mess worth the sloppy effort. That came to life when I photographed this brother/sister team and others in a vast but mucky field North of Winston-Salem. The students held it together, keeping their positions and collaborating like the stars they were, until the end, when they broke into a free for all, running through the gloppy mud as the adults scattered quickly uphill to a nearby deck.
