Turkish Political Martyrs

Marigolds surrounded the makeshift tombs of two political protesters who were killed by government force during the 2013 occupation of Taksim Square in Istanbul. Many issues prompted protests against Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, including the passage of bills increasing government control of the internet.
